Suguru Misato is one of the two main protangonists of the series. He is a middle high school student living in Tokyo with his maid, Mahoro Andou.
Plot[]
Suguru Misato was at a ramen shop, talking to his friends Hamaguchi Toshiya and Kawahara Kiyomi about hiring a maid because of his lazy management of his own house, hence living alone. While he's riding on the bus, he saw a peculiar maid, sitting and later, also the maid staring at him, where he finds it cute. Sudden commotion happened inside the bus, a robbery incident in which Suguru be in shock. Due to Suguru's frustration, he got involved in the incident by stopping the robbery but he can't do anything at due time, the robber pointed a gun to his head, but luckily intercepted by the maid's word in which the robber had an attention to her. After the maid stopped the robbers, Suguru piloted the bus as they are on the verge of an accident, he blasted through the windshield but the maid was protecting him from damage and luckily survived. The maid tends to Suguru if he's alright, but the maid bids goodbye as the police is coming and she wants to avoid investigation from them.
When Suguru's reached his home, she saw the maid in the hydrangea garden with Suguru's pet dog Guri. This time, the maid introduced herself that she is from Vesper Maid Service, her name is Mahoro, in which Suguru's been caught by surprise. In the evening with conversation to Mahoro, he may still not believe that Mahoro is an android that serves as a maid to him rather than a combat android due to the robbery incident. Mahoro extended his introduction, random thoughts came to his mind, and he's about to turn down the contract. Due to Suguru's conscience, he wants Mahoro to be temporarily assigned to his house as a maid. Mahoro cleaned a very big mess in his house and later cooked him a food for dinner. Suguru felt uneasy as Mahoro waiting for his orders wherever he may go and he was very embarassed when Mahoro joined him in the baths, later he's unconsious due to long dip in the hot water and remembered his mother when was young. When Suguru woke up from faint, with Mahoro's worry, he hired Mahoro permanently as a maid, as well as living together in the household.
The next day, he has an acquiantance with other friends in the classroom, named, Miyuki Sakura, Todoroki Rin & Chizuko Ooe with the food discussion, and also Suguru's new maid. Mahoro suddenly appears before him, carrying the dessert, in which his teacher Shikijo Saori intercepted him to provide explanation. When Mahoro has finished introduced herself to his classmates, his classmates are in envy, because they want to know more about Mahoro the maid. In the middle of discussion, Suguru was thinking about of his house because Mahoro clean every area at his home and he realized about his secret stash filled with dirty magazines, then he go straight to his home early when the bell rings, thus his classmates chased after him. When he reached home, he meet Mahoro who acted normally, but Mahoro already found his stash of dirty magazines, Mahoro is against ecchi and talked to him.
The next day, he invitee his friends to come over to his house to discuss the Star Festival, and later, teacher Shikijo also came to visit him to know more about the maid. While his friends bid a goodye, teacher Shikijo stayed for long at his house, wheras he can't escape from his teacher's suspicion because of Mahoro.
When his home's bathtub heater has been busted, they're going to the sentou, where Sakura Miyuki on management. After he bathed, he came to visit Miyuki's family and talked to Sakura about summer vacation this year. When Suguru and Mahoro are going home, he need help for tomorrow's plan. The next day, he and Mahoro are on his father's grave to pay a visit. His father passed away at the start of summer day few years ago.
On the Sunday of summer season, he invited his friends and Mahoro to go to the beach, and for a surprise, his teacher Shikijo also came on the same place with them. While his friends are in the middle of fun, an armored robot crab emerged in the ocean, later attacked most of the girls, removed their swimsuit. Mahoro did the first strike to defeat the crab, but has been incapable of fighting because of crab's flashbang backfired to her, made her blind for a few minutes. While he's searching for Mahoro, he found her blind, doing nothing to defeat the armored crab in front of her. Instead of using Mahoro's weapon to defeat it, he assisted Mahoro for aiming and timing to defeat it. After they successfully defeated the armored crab, Mahoro give thanks to him by hugging while they're lying on the beach.
In the anime, after Mahoro's death, Suguru decided to isolate himself from Japan, never to return. Since then, he devoted his life to be a renegade half-cyborg hunter of the last "Management holdouts. When his companion tried to kill him and was later revealed to be an android himself, Suguru became seriously injured from being stabbed through the stomach and struggled to find medical attention. Suddenly, Mahoro reappeared alive and offered to take Suguru home, and a illusion is shown of a young Suguru running up to Mahoro and they both happily hug each other in tears.
Personality[]
Suguru, according to Mahoro, is similar to his father. Suguru is an intelligent junior high school student, with an IQ of 130. Suguru constantly tries to please everyone, which leads to him getting pushed over. Mahoro usually stands up for him during these times. Contrary to his stereotypical nerdy appearance Suguru attracts the attention of many female characters including his junior high school teacher. Suguru is not exactly the courageous type, but will willing step in to protect Mahoro and Minawa. Suguru also enjoys the ecchi genre, and often keeps a collection of pornographic magazines in his room, which are often confiscated by Mahoro whenever she finds them lying around as she believes that "Dirty Thoughts Are Really Bad."
